PTFE is a particularly tough material as it resists corrosion and contamination and is highly heat-resistant. You'll find it in a variety of applications, including HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning), manufacturing and food processing. It's also an excellent insulator and these cable sleeves have a dielectric strength of 45 kV/mm.The sleeving can be used at temperatures from -65°C to +260°C and has a melting point of +327°C. It's highly flame retardant, meaning that cables remain protected in the event of a fire, and halogen-free, so it won't release toxic gas. With RoHC compliance, it doesn't contain harsh chemicals.
