Serial interface RS-232 / 485The serial interface module allows the connection of devices with RS-485, RS-422 or RS-232interface (optional) to the WAGO I / O system 750 / 753. This also allows gateways to be realized from the field buses supported by the WAGO I / O System 750 / 753 to a serial interface. The module does not support higher log life. The communication is completely transparent to the associated fieldbus master. This will achieve a wide scope of the serial interface module. The communication protocols that may be required can be programmed flexibly in the field bus master. The 8192 byte large reception buffer allows the module to be used even at high transmission rates. In case of low data transfer rates, the evaluation of the receiving data in tasks with low priority is possible without data loss. The 2048-byte transmission buffer allows the rapid transmission of larger connected data. The module is freely configurable via WAGO-I / O- CHECK, e! COCKPIT or GSD files and allows an optimal adjustment to the application by means of a flexible selection of the baud rate and the data width. The module is not suitable for applications under codesys 2.3. The module has a switchable end resistance for impedance adjustment. In addition, the module provides a two-stage switchable bias network, for the level adjustment of the receiver inputs. Thus, an external final resistance and in many cases an external bias network can be avoided.
