The Altistart 48 Softstart / Softstop unit is a controller with 6 thyristors for the torque-controlled soft start and stop of rotary-Asynchronous motors. The torque control of the Altistart 48 allows a start without mechanical stress and a gentle control of the hydraulic transitions. It is suitable for engines with a power of up to 75 hp (at 575 V) / 75 kW (at 690 V) for standard applications and 60 hp (at 575 V) / 55 kW (at 690 V) for heavy applications. It is designed for use in the most common applications for centrifugal machines, pumps, fans, compressors and conveyor systems.
