The ex - safety temperature limiter, -guard according to DIN EN 14597 has a voltage range of AC 110 to 240 V + 10 / -15%, 48 to 63 Hz. With the use of the compact and freely configurable STB / STW Ex, risk potentials in the ex- sector, which result in injuries to people or damage to the environment, as well as destruction of production facilities and production goods, can now be identified at an early and safe level. The devices are available in the 2 versions. 1-sensor variant Ex II (1) (2) (3) G (b1) [Ex ia Ga] [e pz] IIC, Ex II (1) (2) (3) D (b1) [Ex ia Da] [p Dc] IIC. 2-sensor variant Ex II (1) (1) (2) G (b2) [Ex ia Ga] [e py] IIC, Ex II (1) (1) (2) D (b2) [Ex ia Da] [p Db] IIC. Safety temperature limiters have the primary task of monitoring heat-engineering processes safely and to place the systems in the more operational safe condition in the event of a failure. In addition to the approvals according to DIN 14597, IEC and IECEx, the device also has the approval according to ATEX and can therefore also be used in export areas. The inputs are self-safe [Ex ia] according to EN 60079-11, so that appropriate sensors can be connected directly. The use of a barrier is no longer necessary. The device is also certified in accordance with DIN EN 50495 and DIN EN 13463-6 as ignition source monitoring (iPL 2) as defined in the ATEX Directive and can be used for the monitoring of explosive atmosphere gas and dust. The high requirements of DIN EN 61508 or DIN EN 13849 are met by a device concept that, through its 1oo2D structure, leads to a safe detection of errors and can therefore also be used for applications based on the new Machinery Directive 2006 / 42 / EC. The brilliant and clearly structured display with clear text display and backlight in connection with the keyboard ensures a fast and uncomplicated configuration directly on the device. The clear menu structure allows the user to handle the device safely and thus shortens the commissioning time. All security-relevant process values are displayed, the most important functions are shown by simple pictograms. There are two universal analog inputs, one digital input, two relay outputs with a switching power of AC 230 V, 3 A, 50 Hz and a universal analog output.
