The security relays Harmony XPS Universal can be optimally used in different security applications thanks to their selectable safety function and start option via front-side rotary switches. This reduces the variety of the required devices and with the diagnostic function states can be easily transferred to a PLC, so that downtime is reduced by clear error information. The required function can be easily adjusted from 10 selectable security functions. The inputs can be connected to mechanical contacts of emergency / storage keys, position, magnetic, consent switches, two-hand operation type IIIC, PNP sensors, light curtains or RFID safety switches with OSSD outputs. A safety function can be operated via the 4 inputs in 2x two-channel (redundant) version. For the start function the automatic, manual or monitored start-up and optional start-up test are available. This safety switch has 2 secure relay lock contacts and 1 diagnostic signal at the output. With the help of the qualified diagnosis, conditions and errors are transmitted by direct wiring to a standard input of a PLC by means of a telegram. A prefabricated function component for common control systems evaluates these messages so that the operator is fully informed at the machine display. If the number of outputs is to be increased, the XPSUEP14AC extension can be easily connected to the side via an integrated connector and the cross-wiring is not time-saving. The supply voltage is 24 VAC / DC and the connections are made via removable spring-train terminals. Application up to safety level PL e in category 4 or SIL3 can be implemented. Multifaceted authorisations allow for international use. The assembly is done by fastening to a hat rail or by screwdriver on mounting plates. To protect the settings under the transparent cover, a clearly numbered locking tape is attached.
