The security relays Harmony XPS Universal can be optimally used in different security applications thanks to their selectable safety function and start option via front-side rotary switches. This reduces the variety of the required devices and with the diagnostic function states can be easily transferred to a PLC, so that downtime is reduced by clear error information. The required function can be easily adjusted from 6 selectable security functions. At the inputs, mechanical contacts of emergency / storage keys, position, magnetic switches, two-hand operation type IIIA, electronic PNP sensors, light curtains or RFID safety switches can be connected with OSSD outputs. For the start function the automatic, manual or monitored start-up and optional start-up test are available. This safety switch has 1 secure relay changer contact and 1 diagnostic signal at the output. With the help of the qualified diagnosis, conditions and errors are transmitted by direct wiring to a standard input of a PLC by means of a telegram. A prefabricated function component for common control systems evaluates these messages so that the operator is fully informed at the machine display. The supply voltage is 48-240 VAC / DC and the connections are made via removable spring-train terminals. Application up to the safety level PL c or SIL1 can be realized. Multifaceted authorisations allow for international use. The assembly is done by fastening to a hat rail or by screwdriver on mounting plates. To protect the settings under the transparent cover, a clearly numbered locking tape is attached.
