The security relays Harmony XPS Universal can be optimally used in different security applications thanks to their selectable safety function and start option via front-side rotary switches. This reduces the variety of the required devices and with the diagnostic function states can be easily transferred to a PLC, so that downtime is reduced by clear error information. The required function can be easily adjusted from 8 selectable security functions. Mechanical contacts of emergency / storage buttons, position or magnetic switches, as well as electronic PNP sensors, light curtains or RFID safety switches can be connected to the inputs. A safety function can be operated via the 12 inputs in 6x two-channel (redundant) version. For the start function the automatic, manual or monitored start-up and optional start-up test are available. This safety switch has 3 secure relay close contacts at the output, 1 open contact and 1 diagnostic signal. With the help of the qualified diagnosis, conditions and errors are transmitted by direct wiring to a standard input of a PLC by means of a telegram. A prefabricated function component for common control systems evaluates these messages so that the operator is fully informed at the machine display. If the number of outputs is to be increased, the XPSUEP14AP extension can be easily connected to the side via an integrated connector and the cross-wiring is not time-saving. The supply voltage is 24 VAC / DC and the connections are made via removable screw terminals. Application up to safety level PL e in category 4 or SIL3 can be implemented. Multifaceted authorisations allow for international use. The assembly is done by fastening to a hat rail or by screwdriver on mounting plates. To protect the settings under the transparent cover, a clearly numbered locking tape is attached.
