The 3M ™ copper foil tape 1181 has a smooth, 0.036 mm (1.4 mil) thick copper foil support with a pressure-sensitive acrylic adhesive and a protective cover. The uncoated copper foil band with conductive adhesive is a common EMI shield band when corrosion resistance is required. The 3M ™ EMC copper shield band 1181 is a copper film with conductive acrylic adhesive. Their excellent corrosion resistance and very good punctuation extend their applications significantly. With an electrical resistance of five milliohm, the copper foil, which is only 0,066 millimeters thick, has a good conductivity and can be used for grounding and dissipation of electrical statics, except for EMC applications. The adhesive tape is flame retardant according to UL 510 and its adhesive resistant to solvents, which allows for a long functionality.
