FI / LS combinations (RCBO) offer personal and property protection as well as protection against electrically ignited fires according to DIN VDE 0100-410 and DIN VDE 0100-530. The FI / LS combinations of the DS250N-UC series provide protection for sinusoidal alternating currents, pulsating currents against earth and smooth simultaneous error flows with various (high /) frequencies. As well as error protection (protection in case of indirect contact), additional protection (with I? n? 30 mA) and protection against ectically ignited fires (with I? n? 300 mA). They meet the product standards for type A DIN EN 61009-1 (VDE 0664-20) Annex G and type B DIN EN 60947-2 (VDE 0660-101) The DS250N-UC series are special FI / LS combinations for use in the area of direct-current direct-traffic trains, especially within the overhead range. They have been developed in accordance with the above product standards and are exactly in line with the recommendations of VDV-Schrift 509 (10 / 08): "Use of error current (FI) protection circuits in electrical energy systems of direct-current local transport lines." The DS250N-UC consists of an all-current-sensitive FI block (type B) and an LS- part of one or three external-lead poles in AC version, as well as two counter-connected neutral-conductor poles in UC version - for the polarity-independent shut-off of DC (N-UC: N-Pol for Universal Current). Thus, the high balancing-direct-flows between the neutral-head of the general network and the DC-earth (the redirect-current-network) - or vice versa - can be safely shut off.
