The Q8 series of optical sensors have small mechanical dimensions. Due to their extremely compact shape, they can be used in areas that have been mainly reserved for light ladders. These sensors have similar high repeat accuracy to laser sensors and work with visible red light. The adjustment (sensitivity) and the alignment are therefore very simplified. Two so-called fixed focus light buttons are also available. Their light beam has a very low dispersion, so that the smallest and even transparent objects can be captured. The minimum light spot diameter is located in the centre of the nominal range. All these devices have a sensitivity setting. A special feature is the one-way light barrier, whose transmission power is adjustable. The receiver can also be selected between light or dark.
