3-phase power measurement, AC 480 V 5 ADas 3-phase power measurement module allows the measurement of the electrical data of a three-phase power network. The voltage is measured via the connection of the network to the L1, L2, L3 and N. The current of the three phases is applied via power transducers at the IL1, IL2, IL3 and IN terminals. From the effective values for voltages (U) and currents (I), the 3-phase power measurement module for each phase calculates the power (P) and energy consumption (W). For example, the output (S) and the phase shift angle (f) can be easily derived from these values. The 3-phase power measurement module thus allows an extensive network analysis to be carried out via the field bus. The system operator is able to control the supply of a drive or machine and to protect the system from damage and loss, based on the values for voltage, current, power and apparent power consumption and stress.
