The 3M ™ cold-shrinking insulation hoses 8420 and 8430 are EPDM- hoses that represent a unique cold-shrinking connection system. The products are prestretched on a pull-out support spindle, allowing efficient and easy assembly. When the support spindle is pulled out after positioning the hose, the hose shrinks together and thus forms a waterproof seal. The active deformation of the specially formulated material ensures a permanent sealing and insulation against the environment.3M ™ cold shrink hoses are used to isolate all plastic or rubber-insulated cables. The products are preextended to a removable support spindle and thus allow an efficient and easy installation. After assembly, the cold-shrinking hose ensures a reliable protection against moisture through its constant radial pressure. Its good thermal stability and resistance to acids, lye, ozone and UV radiation guarantee a long-lasting functionality.
