The 3M ™ hot shrink cable end cap SKE ensures mechanical and environmental protection as well as a sealing of cable ends. The end cap is made of semi-rigid, flame-resistant polyolefin and is suitable for demanding applications. The adhesive coating ensures durable, flexible and waterproof protection. The 3M ™ SKE is a semi-rigid connected modified heat shrink polyolefin cable end cap with hot melt glue. The minimum shrinking temperature is 120 ° C, the operating temperature ranges from -30 ° C to 135 ° C. The SKE is roHS-compliant, halogen-free and ensures good corrosion resistance. When heating, the adhesive melts and the cap shrinks and ensures a perfect waterproof sealing. The end caps allow quick and easy insulation as well as a sealing of cable ends in indoor and outdoor areas and are characterized by resistance to abrasion, weather and chemical attacks. The SKE is black and available in sizes from 8 / 4 to 126 / 63 mm, the wall thickness (after shrinking) is 2.5 to 4.0 mm. Available as standard as a large or standard package.
