Optoelectronic ring-light barriers are used to monitor the material flow of small parts such as screws or springs. Also plastic parts or liquids (drops) are safely detected. The supply of the goods to be collected is also advantageous within a transparent supply loop. Several light barriers form a light curtain within the ring. The interruption of a light beam is converted into a switching signal in the associated amplifier. This ensures the detection of the smallest objects from 1mm in diameter (at OY106000). The amplifier is available in dynamic and static version. When a dynamic amplifier is used, parts are detected that move quickly (e.g. in the free case) through the ring. An advantage of the dynamic principle of function is the automatic adaptation to changing environmental conditions such as pollution or scratching of the feed. Typical applications can be found in the counting data or in the feeding technology for assembly machines. When connecting a ring light barrier to a static amplifier, you can see slow or static conditions in addition to fast movement processes. The output remains connected as long as the material to be collected is in the active zone. This version is used for example as presence control of liquids in a transparent plastic hose. The response sensitivity can be changed with a potentiometer installed in the amplifier. The pollution of a transparent feed can be compensated in this way. Another potentiometer is used to extend the output pulse. Regardless of the speed of the part to be collected, the device can be adapted to the requirements of a downstream control.
