Each foot switch is equipped with four rubber feet against slipping. The foot lever is made of thermoplastic. An accident protection hood made of al- die cast completely shields the pedal up and from the sides and provides a high stability with the wide support. This prevents random operation by falling objects from above or by insincerity from the side. Due to its stability, the hood can withstand a drop weight of 20kg from a height of 1m. Foot switch with safety and hand lock: operation of the pedal to the pressure point: The working contact is closed, the working process is started. In an emergency situation, action beyond the resistance of the pressure point: The working contact is interrupted and locked, the working process is interrupted. Even if the pedal is not operated, the locking in an external position is maintained at this stage. Uncontrolled reopening or a new start of moving machine parts is thus safely avoided.
