ipf plastic fiber light-conductor systems consist of the optoelectronic light-conductor amplifier and the plastic fibre light-conductor with a keyhead. The function principle is similar to the light barrier or the light button. The optoelectronic light-conductor amplifier contains light transmitter, light receiver, evaluation electronics and amplifiers. For example, it works with visible red light (660nm), which is transmitted by the plastic fiber light conductors to the head of the button in accordance with the principle of total reflection (see sketch "Reflection in a plastic fiber"). The keyheads are offered in many practical variations, e.g. as a button or one-way barriers with axial or lateral light output or with a 90mm long flexible stainless steel case, which can even "see" around the corner if necessary. The advantages of the plastic fiber light conductors are the small bending radii. Within the specified bending radii, the light conductors are movable in all directions. They are also available on site with the AL000007 fibre cutter to any length.
