The ipf electronic series is particularly distinguished by large switching distances. These are similar to those of the PLUS series. The switching distances are achieved by a special technology not only on steel but also on other metals, such as aluminium or brass. Another important feature of these sensors is the one-piece stainless steel case. The devices are therefore absolutely close to the active surface to the liquids and gases against which the housing material is resistant. Due to the relatively large material strength of the active surface, the devices of the PRO-series have a high pressure strength. The pressure strength of the devices refers only to the active surface and the thread area. These devices are much more resistant to mechanical stress than conventional sewing switches. In order to achieve the maximum switching distance, attention should be paid to the size of the object (standard plate) and its surface (flat surface). For the safe operation of the equipment, the installation conditions on the following pages must be strictly observed. In addition, the bundling devices are recommended for approx. 1.5mm from metallic support material. The LED display for the switching state is permanently lit if the distance between the sensor surface and the object is not more than 80% of the specified switching distance. The object is safely recorded. The LED display flashes at larger distances (80 to 100% of the specified switching distance). Correction factors indicate the change in the switching distance if materials other than St37 (steel) are used. The shift distance change depends on the type, nature (inner structure), size and geometry of the material to be collected. In order to determine the approximate switching distance to the materials different from St37, the value for St37 must be multiplied by the corresponding correction factor.
