Overvoltage protection devices SPD type 2 with the thermal monitoring QuickSafe ®, are for protection in case of indirect flash effects and in case of switching overvoltage. They are built as close as possible to the point of contact of the electrical system. All OVR T2 consists of a basic part and a replaceable protection module. They are equipped with a mechanical function display and the TS variants with a potential-free exchange contact. The variants with "reserve varistor" (s) offer an additional protection of the electrical system, so that the overvoltage protection device is not completely separated from the grid at the end of life, but is guaranteed a basic protection by an additional varistor and the system is thus still protected until the replacement of the overvoltage protection module. They are compatible with the series system per M compact and can be shipped via phase rails. Main application in subdivisions and end circuits.
