Mertens GEN2 of the HP15M photovoltaic (PV) fuse series has been specially developed for the high temperature and power cycles of a PVsystem. The GEN2 has been subjected to strict cycle tests and offers improved reliability. These 1500- VDC fuses are designed for a low minimum power output of 1.35 times the nominal current value, which allows a safe circuit break under typical low error current conditions. Backup holders with standard frame terminals and Crimp Caps are available, and also available are 1500- VDC backup inserts for inline backup applications. The unique wire crimp connection (CCoption) allows a soldering-free wire-to-fuse connection for the transfer of fuse and wiring.
