Need a solder-free DIN plug for audio applications? With screw-down termination, the RS PRO 5-pin DIN plug achieves tight wire connections without the need for special tools. Simply strip the cables, insert fully into the housing and screw down the wires to the receptacles. Turn the lockring to twist-lock and secure the two halves of the connector. This standard 5-pin DIN plug is available in both 180° and 240° configurations and is designed for cable mount applications. The housing is made of die-cast nickel and the contacts are silver-plated to ensure good overall resistance to corrosion and rust. Part of the RS PRO range, the product is strictly tested for quality.Apart from analogue and some digital audio applications, DIN connectors are commonly used in computer peripherals such as older AT-style keyboards.
