mPPE is a modified polyphenylene ether thermoplastic. Cables made from mPPE have a smaller wall thickness than other cables due to their dielectric properties. The fact that the cables are lighter allows them to be used in many different applications.mPPE has a lower specific gravity compared to other jacket and insulation materials such as PVC and PE.
