The type 2 or the type 1 + 2 (DC SPD type 1 + 2) overvoltage protection, for direct and indirect lightning, is especially suitable for use with the inverters Fronius Symo10.0 - 20.0 kW and Fronius Eco. The Fronius Symo can be selected from two options, depending on the application: The single MPPT option when both MPP trackers are connected together or the multi-MPPT option when both MPP trackers are used separately. The Fronius Eco, on the other hand, only the S-variant is required for the overvoltage protection type 2. Both measuring channels can also be used with the S-variant. In the case of the type 1 + 2 combo, as in the case of the Fronius Symo, the option for single MPPT and the option for multi-MPPT can be selected, depending on whether only one or both measuring channels are used. Thanks to the adjustable, integrated remote signaling, the system operator receives an automatic message via the online portal Fronius Solar.web2 when the overvoltage protection is triggered. The plug-in modules allow a quick exchange in case of error. This means that not the entire overvoltage protection, but only the individual module, must be replaced.
